My favorite adaptation is by far “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” (the other two were also great, but I thought the changes they did make weren’t as successful as the ones made for the first one). My least favorite… I don’t really remember the stuff I don’t like for too long, so I can’t really say!
And I think most people (myself included) by now agree that The Prisoner of Azkaban is the best (by far) Harry Potter movie to date (I have not seen the last two yet). Most people I’ve talked to seem to think that, at least… So there’s not that much risk of alienating your listeners by saying that! 🙂
