The BBC has just announced that there is going to be a Doctor Who movie later this year!
Maybe not quite the Doctor Who movie fans are clamoring for, but a Doctor Who movie nonetheless. Written by Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who, Sherlock), executive produced by the current executive producers of Doctor Who Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner, and directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad), An Adventure in Space and Time will tell the story of how the TV show came to be.
The cast has just been announced and filming begins next month. This is just another treat for fans as the BBC continues to celebrate the 50th anniversary of quite possibly the greatest show in all of time and space.
